Seventh Mile Analytics is a data science consulting firm based in Richmond, Virginia specializing in data literacy with AI and data science consulting services.

I started this consultancy because of the need I saw in my community for an emphasis on pragmatic AI and data science solutions that focuses on problems instead of technology.

The story of the name dates back to the early origins of Richmond and why a port city is so far inland. The Fall Line, where the geography along the Atlantic, changes from mountainous to what was once ocean. Rapids and waterfalls prevented the burgeoning Trans-Atlantic trade from going past the seven mile stretch of the James River either into the newly formed United States of America, or flowing out from the Smokey Mountains into the economic machine of oceanic trade.

Richmond sat at the spot where agriculture, industry, and finance could grow as a response to this unique problem of American geography. I hope to continue this tradition of Richmond by helping people navigate the new rapids cause by technology and AI. What was once a place of an insurmountable problem for the individual became the foundation for this vibrant city I now call home.
