Our Process
A sustained engagement with Seventh Mile is focused on you, where you and your company are at, where you want to go, and what you can do about it today.
Experienced in operational efficiency
AI promises efficiency, but often fails to deliver. This is not because the technology is fundamentally flawed, it is because operational efficiency is hard to measure, modify, and implement.
With 8 years of experience as a data scientist working in operational efficiency, from cybersecurity to AI workflows, solutions for efficiency do not follow the same process as designing a product for customers. Internal tools and deployment do not follow the same procedures as externally facing products.
To use AI for operational efficiency, the starting point has to begin at implementation first. It is not a product to build, ship to a market, and iterate. It is about adoption of the solution.
Engagements should empower, not deploy
An engagement with a consultant should be more than delivering a solution to a specific pain point. The solution should empower your people, through the capabilities of AI, to build their own solutions after our engagement ends.
An engagement should leave people excited about what they can do next, not just whether a new tool meets requirements.
My experience in operational efficiency has led me to focus on the people first, through data literacy, developing metrics, understanding pivots, and structuring projects that build towards one another. Targeting a single problem, a single pain point, only solves a single problem. Empowering your people to build with what is currently accessible and implementable, using AI, is where ROI lives.
How the process works

Hands on development of metrics to measure the business processes
Data literacy and AI literacy about what is achievable today
Second 25% of the process
Training and hands-on workshops that focus on the business processes that are selected, not general solutions
Designing ready-to-go solutions to begin immediate impact
Identifying what needs require more complex solutions and/or infrastructure
Halfway Point
Assess the complex solutions in a go/no-go decision
Determine if AI ambassador training is desired
Third 25% of the process
Co-develop the POC of the complex solution along side your people
Mentor your AI ambassadors to be the point-people for retaining knowledge and skills from the engagement to bring back to their teams
Train and mentor your ambassadors on evaluation concepts and practices
Last 25% of the process
Co-develop the iteration plans for the POC to product
Guide iteration plans for new business processes
Open-Door for all your questions about AI, data science, and product analysis
